Week Three

This semester keeps chugging right along. I can't tell if it feels like it's going faster or slower as a result of writing reflections every week. Either way, I am slowly adjusting to the online environment. The one class that I had in person has adjusted it's format so instead of meeting for three hours with all of the students in the class, we now only meet for one hour with a small group. This is has certainly been my least social semester which is upsetting, but I can't act like a global pandemic wouldn't affect my social life at all.

This week I worked on a project for the E-Media department where I gave incoming students advice about what to expect from the program. I took some extra time to make sure that it was a quality video to hopefully show them that they've got something to look forward to in their classes. My hope is that they look at the video and feel like they've got a lot to learn about how to edit videos, light a scene, and balance sound while filming. On top of this project I worked at the welcome desk where it was business as usual. I answered a few calls where prospective students were trying to sign up for classes for our current semester, and i'm wondering how many more weeks that people will try and sign up for it.
